Garlic

The common cold is the most common disease of mankind. And even though it is called “common”, one of the reasons why it is so hard to find a cure for it is that the virus that causes it is actually not so common. There are more than 200 known viruses that can cause a cold. There are also many different, frequently mutating forms of flu. Colds and flu are a “moving target”. A treatment aimed at one type of cold or flu can often be of no use in treating the others.

FLU AND COLD TREATMENTS

Antibiotics are generally ineffective against viral infections like those that cause most colds and flu.

This is where the garlic could come in. Garlic is a broad spectrum antibiotic with powerful antibacterial properties. And garlic is not just an antibiotic. It can produce a number of other compounds with many benefits for our health.

Garlic’s active ingredient, allicin, could be useful in the battle against infection that does not respond to antibiotic drugs, a serious and growing problem.” Dr. Mercola

RESEARCH RESULTS: ALLICIN REDUCES THE RISK OR CATCHING A COLD

A study conducted in the UK found that a daily garlic supplement containing allicin, a purified component of garlic considered to be the major biologically active agent produced by the plant, reduced the risk of catching a cold by more than half.

The study also found that those taking the supplement who did catch a cold were more likely to make a speedier recovery than those not taking the garlic supplement. The chances of re-infection following a cold were also significantly reduced.

WHY TAKE GARLIC SUPPLEMENTS

After reading all this I believe we all appreciate garlic more. The problem is that from all the people I know, even among those who love the taste of garlic, I know nobody who is crazy about the garlic breath. Another thing to be taken into account is the fact that not all garlic in grocery stores has all the properties that make it beneficial for our health. There is a lot of irradiated garlic from China in grocery stores these days and irradiated garlic has no health benefits except when pickled and only water-soluble compounds then. Experts know how to tell when garlic has been irradiated but the average person usually couldn’t tell the difference.

These are a few of the reasons why many people who want to take advantage of the health benefits of garlic prefer to take garlic extract supplements.

ALLIMAX

The one we recommend is AlliMax Allicin Garlic Extract. Allimax contains 100% allicin powder and is certified bioactive. No other garlic supplements contain any allicin. They rely on your body being able to generate allicin once you have swallowed the tablet or capsule. A few garlic powder supplements can generate some allicin but this depends on the prevailing stomach conditions and may take several hours to accomplish conversion to allicin. This can often lead to an unwanted garlic odor, while Allimax is completely odorless. New Allimax Allicin Garlic Extract doesn’t need to wait to be converted since it actually is allicin.

OUR EXPERIENCE WITH ALLIMAX

My colleague is taking an Allimax pill every day and I don’t remember her ever having a cold or flu. I take Allimax when I get around people who have a cold or flu so as not to catch it, and that usually keeps me out of trouble. Or, if I feel a flu or cold coming, I take as much as 8 capsules a day and that knocks the flu or cold out.

“This wonderful garlic product is a great way to kick a lot of the bad bugs. If you take 3 and than take 3 more in an hour or so, and maybe even 2 or 3 more in another hour. It will usually kick the bug right out of you.”

Thanks to Margo, one of our staff here at Wellnesspartners.com, she has a lot to say in a short sentence, and I make sure to go to her to get her opinion on any “bug” or problem I get. I don’t think many of us have a successful alternative to fighting colds and flu, and I would like everyone out there to know that there are powerful ways of treating colds, rather than suffering through them, be forewarned though, once you’ve tried this product you will probably never stop taking it due to it’s effectiveness. This brings me to my main point:

Allicin is a natural anti-biotic/anti-fungal that comes from Garlic

To understand just a bit of how powerful Allicin is, it is used to fight staff infections (staphylococcus aureaus), and E Coli. If that weren’t enough, there is an impressive list of other things that Allicin affects. We have tested and we highly recommend the product Allimax, as this is the most pure and highly concentrated form of Allicin available today. Allimax also comes from a unique and patented process that extracts the Allicin out of the garlic without either ruining it or making it less bio-available (that’s the rate at which your body can readily absorb something).

Here is a list of what has been shown effective for Allimax:

  • ACNE
  • ASTHMA
  • BACTERIA
  • CHOLESTEROL
  • COLDS
  • DIABETES
  • DIGESTION
  • HAY FEVER
  • HYPERTENSION
  • MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
  • SINUSITIS
  • TOOTHACHE
  • YEAST OR FUNGAL INFECTIONS

I know i’ve been impacted by several of these points, and most of us have had something in the above list happen to us. I can even see the effectiveness of this product, in a toothache, if you have an infection, then an anti-biotic would be the right thing to fight it, and many toothaches stem from infection. In this article we will deal mainly with the terrible cold and flu season, but you can go to our site and see more details on the above conditions at: http://www.allicin-garlic-extract.com

I have personally tested this product, and I can tell you it is in my main arsenal, in my medicine cabinet. There are some things you can live without, or products that are half-way there to helping you, we don’t want to live without Allimax. Many of the over-the-counter drugs, or even the prescription drugs, come with either some sort of price, in that it may help one thing (drys up your sinuses), but causes another (makes you very drousy), or it serves as a band-aid and plugs the hole, rather than fights and wins the battle at the level of the infection. So you aren’t really defeating the cold, or keeping it away with the over-the-counter remedies, you are only hoping to be less miserable through your sickness.

Consider how much it costs you to have a sickness: Many times you have to leave work, you go to the store and stock up on all sorts of cough medications, lozanges, pain relievers, the list goes on, and they are such attractive packages, all of them looking like they could cure anything, but are they curing, or just patching? Then, the kids have to stay home from school, or worse from the day care, and you have to stay home too, where you are exposed and helpless against the germs.

So, is there something that can truly help with colds and flu?

When it comes to colds, Allimax is incredible. We like to take this (one capsule a day) when we start seeing people sniffle, cough or otherwise we know they are ill. A good offense is the best defense, and when you are stuck in a cold, then you have to fight all the harder to get back out of it. If you take Allimax each day, you are fighting the infections at it’s root cause and are far less prone to catch the flu.

You can get Allicin in several forms, including garlic oil, but you aren’t getting a strong dose because converting the garlic to oil actually removes the allicin, which is the key ingredient to stopping the conditions in the first place.
